Merri had been in the library for practically an hour searching through the various rows of books and parchments shoved onto neat and tidy shelves. She was nearly ready to give up when her feet lead her to a row of muggle studies books and she spotted the thick binding she had been looking for. Of course it would be here. How could I be so silly. Tugging the book free she quietly whispered the title to herself, "Grimms' Fairy Tales." It was one of her favorite editions too. She blew off the dust from the cover and tucked the book under her arm while she scouted out a comfortable place to begin her reading.

Her muggle studies teacher had been generous by allowing them to search any muggle topic, and that she was grateful for. What she was not gracious about was that the essay had to take up five rolls of parchment. She sighed and stared at the floor as she drug herself into a warm dark corner of the library.

Misha was instructed by the Professor to grab any Muggle book in the Library and to make an essay about it.

She roamed around the academy for almost an hour. She was already slouching and was dragging her feet literally. As she wiped a drop of sweat on her face, she lift her head and read the sign "Library"

"Finally! Misha found you" she said shifting in a much more happy mood.

Misha bend her head and peeked a little. "What are you doing Miss?" said the librarian.

Misha jumped from where she was standing, startled. "Ah, nothing" she tucked her hands behind her back and started gliding towards the shelves of Muggle books.

Misha chose one of her favorite Muggle written book, "The Little Prince".

"This would be easy" she thought.

She grabbed a copy and made her way on a vacant seat. She noticed Merri at the opposite side of the desk.

"Merri!" Misha shouted in excitement. "Shhhhhhhh" warned the Librarian gazing at Misha with a finger in front of the librarian's lips.

"Sorry" Misha whispered as she scratch the back of her head.

Ian had shown up to the library early so he could sneak into the restricted section. After picking out an interesting selection of potion and spell books he found a corner of the library and sat down. It wasn't long before a girl joined him then another girl.

He looked up from the text book he was reading and glared at the two girls who sat down next to him. Great, I definitely won't learn anything with the two of them twittering away. Getting up he walked over and stood behind Misha then read the title of the book. "A muggle book?" He laughed and snatch the book from the girl. "You shouldn't be reading this sort of trash it's bad for you."

Merri looked up from her reading with a smile, "Misha!" she echoed the girls excitement till the both of them were shushed again. She giggled and took out a scrap piece of parchment so that they could write each other without disturbing the other students.

"Hey! What are you doing here?" She had just finished writing the note when a boy stood up and began to bother Misha. "You shouldn't be reading this sort of trash it's bad for you." The boy scoffed and she grew suddenly angry.

"Leave her alone!" Merri stood up and placed her hands at her hips, giving the boy the most intimidating glare that she could manage.

Misha giggled with Merri after they were hushed by the librarian.

She laid the book flat on her desk when she received a note from Merri. She took out her pen and scribbled "Also need to..." but as soon as she was about to finish her scribbling, a boy from behind grabbed Misha's book.

Merri grew angry at what the arrogant boy do. "Leave her alone!" Misha heard Merri as she faced the boy angrily. Misha couldn't help but just stare at what has happened.

"But... b-but.. It's one of my favorite" Misha mumbled as she reached out her hands to take a hold of the book that was taken away from her.

Ian rolled his eyes as a girl rose up in defense, what do you think you can do stupid girl. He held the book higher and mocked the girl that was whining, "But but but whatever." He torn a handful of pages out of the book then dropped the remainder back onto the desk. "There you go, much better."

Reaching across the table he took the other book and read the title, "Even worse. A whole book of fairy tales." He laughed and taunted the girls even more. "I know who you are." He pointed first to Misha, "Cry baby," and then to Merri, "And a nasty mudblood."

Merri gripped tightly at her wand, debating on casting a spell at the boy, how could he be so rude? What's wrong with him? She held her head up high and stared him in the eye trying hard not to cry or be offended by how he was acting.

"I don't know why you are so angry at us, but Misha doesn't deserve to be called that! Please give me back my book and leave us alone." She raised her voice, hoping it would attract the attention of the librarian. Where did the librarian go? Weren't they just here scolding us?

Misha's eyes grew bigger when she heard what the boy called them. Surely Misha was already aware of her title as a cry baby putting aside the question how the boy knew such thing but the fact that he called a dear friend "nasty" made a scar in her heart.

Misha pressed her hand against the table so loud without any intention of getting everyone's attention and pulled herself up.

"That's it!" she said out loud. "You've crossed the line! Merri is a dear friend, how dare you call her that?" she yelled at him.

The librarian was nowhere to be found, but there were also other students in the library that just watched such scene and did not bother to butt in.

Ian stared as he watched both of the students try and defend one another. What was the point in all that? Frowning at all the noise the girls were making, and not wanting to grab the attention of the entire library he dropped the book back onto the table. "Making quite the fuss aren't we?" he waved his wand at the pages that he had torn out earlier, "reparo," he muttered.

Merri pulled the book close and stared down at the pages, she didn't want to argue with this boy anymore and she really hoped that he would leave. Why did he have to come and ruin my day. She sighed, her good mood was rapidly leaving and she really didn't feel like writing an essay anymore, but it was due in a few days.

Glancing up she noticed that the kid was still standing there as if waiting for some sort of reaction, she frowned and stared back at him. Please just go away now.

Misha narrowed her eyes when she thinks that the boy was done annoying Merri and her. She then showed her most upset-looking face and raised her right hand, pointing her index finger towards him and swiftly as she can, she pointed towards the exit releasing deep breaths. Misha was actually instructing him to leave the library at once.

Ian grinned and started to sit back down when he noticed how upset the girls looked. "Hey no use crying. I gave you back your books." He grabbed his own text books and parchment then stuffed them into his bag and started towards the exit. He paused then turned around and smirked, "You look kind of cute like that ya know." with a wink and a short waved of his hand he quickly left the library.

Merri felt her face grow bright red with anger. Why did I have to react like that. She wiped at her face then grabbed a piece of parchment, almost tearing it in the process, and began to furiously write her essay. There were almost five full rolls of work completed before she dropped her quill onto the table and looked up at Misha.

Misha saw the boy left the library. "Whew.." she sighed.

She went on to continue reading on the book she chose. "He said you're cute" Misha whispered when Merri looked at her. "Is that why you're face is red?" Misha has no idea.

Misha was about to finish reading the book as she arrived at the last chapter when she noticed some parts of it were still missing. "Oh no." she gasped. She turned the book to have Merri take a look at what she found, pointing on the torn pages, "There are some page missing" she panicked.

Merri felt all of her anger vanish, "No way!" She giggled and scrunched up her face. Did Misha really think I was blushing and even more that it would be because of him? She nearly fell out from her chair laughing at the thought, "Besides he also said you were cute!"

She looked back down to her parchment, dipped her quill back into her ink well and began to write again when Misha interrupt with the concern that several pages were still missing. She flipped back and forth through the book, reading a paragraph or two. "Definitely missing. Maybe they are still around here?"

Getting up she began to walk around their corner of the library looking high and low for the missing pages to Misha's book. "I hope that boy didn't keep some!"

"Ehhhhhh?" she reacted when Merri said that the boy was also thinking Misha's cute. In mind she was sure he was referring to Merri. She crossed her hands, rejecting Merri's idea.

Then back to the book's missing pages, "Do you think he has some?" Misha asked Merri who has started looking for the missing parts.

Merri frowned as she crawled under the table they had been sitting at, still no pages! Where could they have gotten to? She sighed then called out from under the table, "It does seem like something he would do."

She peeked out from the table with a parchment in her hand, "I found the note we were writing."

Pointing her wand under the table she called out, "Lumos!" And checked once more. I really don't want to have to go track down that mean boy. Please be here pages!

Misha helped Merri looked for the missing pages. They both searched under the table but couldn't find any, only the note they were writing.

"Hmmmm" Misha said as she raised her head. "Since it's Misha's favorite book, Misha already knows the ending Merri." she called out to her.

Then she held her book and looked at it sadly. "But Mr. Little Prince will be lonely since it has lost a wonderful ending" she said as she sighed.

Merri frowned, "This just won't do Misha! Mr. Little Prince deserves a happy ending just like all of the other books," she crawled out from under the table and stood up. Grabbing her bag she took out several lengths of parchment and waved her wand. The paper uncurled and cut itself into pages the size of the book.

"Have no fear Little Prince we are going to give you back your ending." She dug around in her bag for a handful of quills then turned to Misha. "You can just rewrite the ending!"

Misha's face brightened, she clenched her fist and punched upward to the air. "Eh!" she acknowledged Merri's idea, to write Mr. Little Prince's new ending.

She smiled at Merri and went back to her seat. She grabbed the pieces of parchment and a quill. She dipped the quill to the ink excitedly. She started scribbling and writing a new ending for her favorite book. She also drew on the few pages matching the theme of the book.

"You can do it Misha!" Merri nodded her head and gave the girl a big grin before taking out her rolled up essay and resuming her writing. She added a few more paragraphs then scribbled a few notes to make corrections later. Almost finished! Thank goodness!

She began packing her supplies back up then perched on the edge of her seat while Misha wrote, she resisted the urge to loom over her shoulder and let the other girl write.

"Ah!" Misha sighed. She raised her hands and did some stretching. "Finally, Misha's done" she said while she raised her head and put down her quill. She rotated the book for Merri's convenience, "Look Merri", she said as she flipped the pages. It was full of scribbles and poorly made colored drawings. But still, one can identify the Little Prince since it was the only character colored in blue, and of course, his beloved rose, which was colored in red.

Misha gave in an ending. An ending suitable for the book she thought. She was really proud to have accomplished something like this. At least, Mr. Little Prince wouldn't be sad anymore since she had gave it an ending, somehow.

Merri nodded her head thoughtfully while she examined each page and drawing. It wasn't perfect but she could tell that a lot of thought had gone into giving the Prince his ending. "I think you did an amazing job!" She giggled and turned to a page that had her favorite drawing. "Plus the prince looks really handsome in your pictures."

She slid back down into her seat and sighed. She had class soon and still needed to finish her paper. "I don't want to go to class Misha." Frowning she slumped forward until her head rest against the table they were sitting at. "You go for Merri?"

Misha leaned over the table closer to Merri as she examined Misha's finished worked. She displayed a smile that reached ear to ear when she heard Merri's comments. She was sure her work was not the best but was happy that Merri could tell that she drew a handsome Prince. She got the book back when Merri's head fell on the table. "Eh" she said looking puzzled upon the sudden change to Merri's mood when she mentioned something about class. "Misha cannot be Merri" she said shaking her head. "Come on now, Merri should attend her classes" she pouted and raised her index finger as if lecturing her, but deep inside she was encouraging a dear friend be a good student. It's not like Misha wanted to attend classes too, but she thought it was just the right thing to do.

Merri looked up from her place on the table and grinned. "Misha is right," she said with a slight frown before she slowly straightened into an upright position. "Though if I blow up another cauldron in potions class," she sighed in a very unhappy manner.

Gathering her bag up once more she jumped to her feet. She appeared much happier this time though. "But I must become a better student, right Misha?" She giggled and saluted at the girl then skipped towards the exit. The scene that followed was a glare from the librarian and several strange looks from other students studying.
