Skyler had decided to spend some time outside, get some fresh air, all that bit. Nyx wasn't exactly happy about the venture. Seeing as it was winter, Skyler could see why. He'd much rather be like all the other lazy cats around here and curl up in front of the fire. But not on her watch.

"No way am I gonna let you become some fat, lazy cat Nyx. It's not that cold out here anyways. And you've got fur." Skyler spoke to the kitten comically, as they made their way around the lake. It was sunny out, but the air was crisp and cool, not surprising considering it was winter. Skyler hoped they'd get snow. She'd love to get some people together for a snowball fight.

Suddenly she was jerked out of her thoughts of an epic snow battle when she was splashed with ice cold water. Nyx gave a screech and bolted behind her out of the water's way, but Skyler spluttered, taking a moment to get a grip on herself. Glancing around, Skyler caught the sight of another girl, and Skyler couldn't help but glare slightly. Then she caught site of the girl's shoes and socks, now dripping wet, in the girl's hands. Blue eyes widening in realization, Skyler shook her head and questioned the other girl. "What are you , crazy? A person can freeze to death like that."

Skyler was fairly sure one would notice before they actually froze to death, but that was beside the point.

Scott walked passed the two ladies, his shirt cut at a v-neck, and waved and passed quickly to where they couldn't say anything or catch up to him.

Skyler arched a brow at the guy's retreating back. Odd, she thought. She couldn't remember ever seeing him before, and he looked much too old for a student, but he was no professor she had ever seen either. Watching through narrowed blue eyes for a few moments while the girl who had splashed her and Nyx ranted and raved, Skyler filed it away for future analysis as she drew her wand from it's place behind her ear and performed both a drying and warming spell on both herself and Nyx, who gave her a thankful look.

Skyler, for her part, regarded the other girl cooly as she blamed Skyler for the incident. Skyler wasn't in the mood. She met the girl's glare with her own icy one. "Maybe you should just admit that you should be more aware of your surroundings, especially in times like these, instead of blaming me. It wasn't as if I were sneaking up on you. Trust me, if that we're the case you'd have gotten more than a simple splash." Skyler assured the other girl, with a roll of her eyes at the accusation. "And I highly doubt you nearly burned to death. That sounds more like an exaggeration than the truth if you ask me." She added, smirking as she smirk.
