Alexis walked inside the Study Hall and found it empty... ish. There were a few people in the room, but they didn't acknowledge her arrival. She shrugged and walked on, while she looked around at the same time. She sighed and continued walking. She wasn't even looking at where she was going, which caused her to bump into someone and fall to the ground. She dropped her books and they fell on her.

Alexis groaned and saw that she had bumped into a girl whom she recognized from the dormitory.

Rinoa's face was covered by the pile of books she was carrying while walking around the study hall thus making her vision less...er.

Suddenly, *thud!* The next thing she knew, books were scattered around her and the girl she bumped into.

"Ouch, ohhhh! I'm sorry. I wasn't paying attention." Rinoa said while she continously bowed down asking for an apology to the girl she bumped into.

"Are you alright?" she hastly asked the girl standing up so fast and reaching out for her hands to help her stand.

Alexis gladly took the girl's hand and got up. "Sorry, I wasn't really looking where I was going. But I'm fine," she said while picking up her books. She tugged at her shirt, for it had gone just a tiny bit up, and looked at the girl. "Er, I... uh... I'm Alexis, Habitus dormitory. Erm... you?" she asked, feeling a bit awkward.

"Hello! Fellow Habitus, Rinoa Heartilly is the name. You can call me Rinoa" she replied.

"Nice to meet you Alexis" Rinoa smiled. "Here let me help you with that" Then she picked up the books on the ground.

After picking up the books she asked Alexis "What brings you here, in this part of the academy?"

Alexis blinked a little. She had never met anyone so.... friendly. "Alright, Rinoa, nice to meet you, too. And thanks," she added, when the girl offered to help pick up her books. When they finished, Alexis took a seat and sighed. "Well... you know, studying. I suppose you too?"

Rinoa took a seat near Alexis and replied "I was roaming around the academy and thought maybe to stop by at the study hall. I'd like to read the new book my friend gave me". Rinoa pulled out a huge black hard bound old book with golden embellishment that says "Legends of the Mystical Creatures" and showed it to Alexis.

Alexis nodded. "Mystical creatures, hm?" she muttered. "I like animals, but... eh, I have my problems. Er, so... I guess I should leave you, or d'you want me to stay? I don't wanna, uh, interrupt your reading."

"Not really. Are you off to somewhere? Or perhaps I am the one who's bothering you?" she asked Alexis.

"Oh, no, you aren't bothering me. Besides... I don't really feel like studying," she said and flashed Rinoa a small grin. "Uh, so... you.... like animals?"

Rinoa sighed "Whew. That's a relief. I thought for a moment that I am bothering you already".

"Mystical creatures to be exact" she answered Alexis. "How about you?" she asked.

Alexis shrugged. "Sort of. Depending on what kind of animal," she replied. "I particularly like cats and birds. Especially phoenixes."

"Phoenix ♥" Rinoa delightedly said.

Rinoa flipped the pages of the book, came to a certain page and pointed to the topic about Phoenix, "Here, here, here, they are also considered mystical, mythical or legendary, or whatever you call that, right?" then looked at Alexis.

"Have you ever seen one?" she continued asking.

Alexis nodded then replied, "Yeah, my uncle owns one. He collects birds. Or whatever you call it. He's got a lot, both mythical and... non-mythical."

Rinoa's seemingly excited said "Really? Wow! A Phoenix really looks majestic".

"My shop offers them as a loyal pet" she added. "Have you seen them undergo the rebirth stage or what you call that" she asked Alexis. Rinoa really likes engaging to a conversation about mythical creatures.

"They're really beautiful, especially after the rebirth stage thing," Alexis replied. "The... Exploding thing? You mean that? Yeah, I freaked out the first time I saw that happen..

"Ohhh God, yes they are the prettiest thing when they undergo rebirth" she answered Alexis.

"How about a Pegasus? Do you like them too?" she asked.
