Hello everyone,

My name is Avalon Caradas. Full name: Avalon Kiyoha Caradas. As I am a new student, I'm obviously going to hope to make friends and get along with everybody, blah blah blah. But first of all, I believe this site is going to be real awesome.

A little more about my character...Avalon is a nice girl, not a rebel or a punk, but adventurous all the same. She likes a good challenge especially if it includes excitement and intrigues her. Second on that list is books; she loves the very smell and feel of them, and how they offer all that knowledge hidden in between the pages and covers. If you don't find her dueling, adventuring, or sparring, then you can find her reading.

That being said, everyone has their own shortcomings. Avalon's is that she can get a little impatient, and when provoked her temper flares dangerously. This can lead her to jump to conclusions and cause misunderstandings. She readily apologizes/makes up for them, but the damage has been done either way.

A little more about me...I, personally, am an avid roleplayer. In my spare time, I write stories on Word and then I switch to the Internet to roleplay on sites. I have been roleplaying at a little site called Dollwizard.com for a few years since I was twelve, but the site was inexplicably closed down. Then for a time I was into Percy Jackson and the Olympians, so I joined this Camp Half-Blood site, but the pace and feel of it wasn't good enough and the mods were acting like immature brats besides. Eventually I came to Valucre, which is amazing by far. I am still on there (as DarkFireMoon), but when I saw this site I just had to join. So, I enrolled, and voila, I am here.

What do I expect from this site?

• A good roleplaying experience- I'd like to shape my character and interact with others, as well as forming memorable stories and memories.
  
• Realistic expectations- Let's get real, people, no one's a Superman or Wonder Woman. If another user's character is too Mary Sue-ish/Gary Stu-ish, then it's not fun anymore. I'd like to roleplay with people who have realistic standards for their charries and are willing to acknowledge them at certain times for story enhancement.
  
• Literacy- Grammar, grammar, grammar--yes, it was boring in high school, but it is essential in roleplay. I'd like to roleplay with people who know their spelling, grammatical rules, and whatnot because it doesn't feel right roleplaying with someone who writes in chatspeak or with no capitalizations. Not asking for people to be authors, but to be able to grasp the very basics so that the post does not look sloppy. Whether you one-line or give a short post in general does not concern me.
  
• Maturity- I've seen some horrible things happen so many times on roleplaying sites. One member starts a vendetta against another. They fight, they bicker, they flame one another. Their anger is acted out in the roleplay story itself. Sometimes even the mods get dragged in, and they actually use curse words instead of solve the problem. NO, JUST NO. If you have a problem with me, I'd expect you try to solve it like a civil person; otherwise, I will ignore you. I prefer interacting with level-headed people who can keep their cool, and not burst out. Especially not people who will roleplay their own anger, because that is just stupid. Valucre is the site that I rank in the highest player maturity thus far, and I hope to see it here too.
  
• Fun- Well, duh. Who doesn't come onto a roleplaying site and expect some fun? I'd like to enjoy myself here as well as bring fun to all the other members of the site.
  
• The satisfaction of accomplishment- If I start a thread, I'd like to see it through to the end. If you are going to disappear on me, at least notify me first or write it out as a character exit in the roleplay. I'd hate to let good threads die. This addresses large threads, threads that will be a turning point in a story or a quest/adventure. Small threads like casual character chats and visits are not held strictly to this rule, but it would be nice if they could.
  

Well, that should be all, because in all honesty I can't think of any more. I realize this is a very big and long post, but I wanted to get those points across before I dive deep into the community of this site. I hope you all understand and don't condemn me for being too uptight. It's just that I am serious about roleplaying.

Welcome to the site, I believe you were the one stuck on Wildwood all alone? Sorry about that, we kind of abandoned it a while ago, but all is well now.
