| Subject: Forestyne's sorting. Mon Jan 14, 2013 4:05 pm | |
| Today Forest was gonna get sorted. There was only one out of the four houses that she was going to get sorted into, which was what she kept on thinking about from waking up to walking into the Great Hall, since sorting is not a small thing to pass over as a petty thought and each of her siblings were in different houses. Would she be in Incaendefacio (boy, that was hard to pronounce) like Avalon, Habitus (almost thought it was "habitat") like Evangeline, Orbis Terrarum (sounds like some ET planet) like Nobuyuki, or Liquidum (some kinda liquid?), where none of her siblings were? Funny, if she went into Liquidum, that would mean each of the siblings in Magica Academy were in different houses. She wondered if the headmaster would see the irony in that and decide to play a joke on the Caradas' by doing that.
But oh well. She just wanted to get this over with. Any of the houses were fine with her, as long as nothing bad would happen and she could continue to do whatever she wanted. Stepping over the threshold and into the Great Hall, she stopped in her tracks and said, "Woah." The place was exactly like the elegant Great Halls of medieval castles, long rows of tables, chairs, chandelier, ancient candles, dais and all. Well, wasn't Magica Academy inside a medieval castle itself? It had always amazed her, that every step she took in the academy was in a place of much history. It spooked her a bit, too. Old places were always haunted, right? She had heard that there were ghosts in the academy, but so far she hadn't seen any and wasn't hoping to see one any time soon.
Time to stop thinking of small stuff and get down to business. She scanned the Great Hall but didn't really seem to see anyone. Maybe she hadn't looked closely enough, or the headmaster wanted to look all cool and mysterious by popping out of nowhere, or he was looking down at her from the chandelier. Well, that fancy stuff wouldn't work on her. She'd just make him look like he was being a fool, but best not to think upon it too much since it was only a silly assumption. Clearing her throat, she said with echoing words, "Heeelllo? Anyone here? I'm here to be sorted, ya know." |

| Headmaster heard the girl in the back of his mind, and was happy to see another one of the Caradas siblings get sorted He was determined to get at least one in each dorm, if it was fit for them of course. Leonardo levitated as a ball of a white light, and as it got to his height, he slowly appeared. Once he was visually seen, he began to speak: "Hello," he said and smiled. "Welcome to the Academy. I want to let you know that I'm pleased to see yet another one of the Caradas siblings here, you all are so nice." he said, smiled a little, and nodded. "I will ask you a series of questions, and you will answer each one until I have made my decision." he said. "First question: Do you consider yourself a leader?" |

| Forest blinked. Sure enough, he did make a dramatic appearance, emerging from nowhere as a bright white orb, then slowly transforming into his normal human form. At least it wasn't really that sassy, and she thought it was pretty cool. I gotta learn that, she told herself as she stood straight to listen to the Headmaster.
First he welcomed her to the Academy, then expressed his pleasure to see another Caradas sibling, since they were "all so nice". ...Nice? Well, Avalon and Evangeline were, but definitely not Nobuyuki and her. Nobuyuki was always stiff and shadowy. Forest was a good sport and was kind enough to those who didn't get at her nerves, but was too free-spirited and blunt for her own good. Yet she still grinned and said, "Yeah, we're cool."
He instructed her that he would ask her a couple of questions, and she shrugged. "Sure, ask away." Normally that would've made some people fidgety and nervous, but Forest didn't see the need to be. Just be honest and answer truthfully. That was easy for her, since she wasn't afraid of people knowing her beliefs and values. She liked the person she was and made a rule that if no one did, then they couldn't really do anything about it.
The first question was a bit unexpected. She thought that he would ask something along the lines of, "Are you nice to people?" or "Are you obedient?", but it was if she considered herself a good leader. She furrowed her eyebrows and pondered upon that. Was she? She had never led a group of people before, so she limited it to her friends and siblings. Sure enough, she'd been quite bossy with them during games and playing, telling them what to do and basically directing them. And not letting them challenge her. So yeah, good leader. She grinned again. "You can say I am. I can put people into order and they can't argue back. I'm quite solid, you see." |

| "Ah, I have no questions left for you then," he said, and smiled. "Incaendefacio." he said, and nodded. |

| Wow. That was fast. Nothing else was needed to be said and she was sorted into Incaendefacio, like Avalon. What ever happened to a series of questions? Weren't there supposed to be more for her to answer? Or maybe she just answered really well, that it wasn't hard to see what dormitory suited her, although she didn't really know what the qualities of Incaendefacio were. Or the other dormitories.
But good enough. At least she had been sorted, and was sharing a dormitory with her sister. So far, the Caradas family had two children in Incaendefacio, one in Habitus, and one in Orbis Terrarum...she wondered where Ami would end up. Maybe in Liquidum?
"Thanks," she said to the Headmaster, then asked, "Is there anything else that I need to do before leaving to my new dormitory?" Well, there should be. She needed some pointers and stuff like that before entering a place that was practically foreign to her. |
