For a change, this summer break, Shuyin wandered off somewhere inside the academy. He was wearing light clothes, his bed hair since he just woke up a few hours ago. To start the day, he grabbed the book he borrowed last time he was in the library with Eve, a beautiful lady from his dorm. He smiled as he remembered the tour that day. He was grateful for her help at that time.

He went straight to the library today, since he wanted some peaceful time to start reading "Romeo and Juliet" he whispered as he laid his back comfortably on his chair on a spot he found where he was completely alone. He started flipping the pages and kept on reading and reading. He couldn't stop from any moment since each scene has become more interesting for him until he finally reached upto the last few pages.

Eve had gone to the Library early this morning to read her favorite book.She didn't have time to borrow it the previous day,since she had too many things to study.
She made her way through the shelves,trying really hard to find the book.
She was sure she had seen it here yesterday,but it wasn't there anymore.

She bit her lip and walked over to the Librarian to ask her about the book.
She told her that the book had just been taken by a young man,who happened to be sitting just a few seats down.

She turned to find Shuyin sitting there,reading a book.Her book.
She made her way towards him slowly and stood in front of him smirking,though he was too distracted by the book to notice her.
She cleared her throat,making herself known.
"And I was wandering..who the heck had the guts to take my book...",she trailed off..

Just after Shuyin finished the last few lines of the story, the ending, suddenly a familiar voice spoke somewhere very near. He lift his head and saw Eve standing next to him. "My, my my. What a lucky start for today. After a very lovely story, here comes one of the prettiest here in the academy" he grinned.

Shuyin looked back at the book he was holding, slowly closed it and handed it over to Eve. "Here you go, Princess" he said and smirked.

Eve couldn't help but smirk at his remark.But she also blushed when he called her one of the prettiest.She shook her head and sat down on the table,smiling at him widely.
"I'm not pretty...",she mumbled and giggled a little.
She wasn't used to that kind of compliments anyway.

When Shuyin gave her the book and called her 'Princess',she 'awwed' and messed up his already messed up hair.
"I'm one lucky Princess then...seeing that I have the most handsome knight..",she said and gave him a wink,before standing up,and walking back,between the shelves.

Eve messed his hair more after she took the book. Shuyin slipped out from his chair, standing up and slipped both hands into his pockets. Shuyin followed Eve as he thought it would be best to spend some more time with her. He enjoys her company after all.

"So, the book" he said as he watched Eve walking between the selves. "Thanks for sharing it with me" he said while his eyes still on her. It's as if the more he looked at her, the faster his heart beats.

Eve was looking through the shelves when she heard Shuyin's voice.
"It's fine...I was just messing with you..",she said and winked at him once more.

As she was searching through books,a thought passed her head.
"I never asked you...do you have any unique abilities?",she asked curious.
They might have common things she didn't even know..

"Ah, I already finished it. It has a beautiful tragic story" he sighed. He felt his heart beat pounding more and more every time Eve glanced at him. He slightly blushed and looked away so she wouldn't notice. He breathe in and out a couple of times to relax himself. Normally, he'd just sweet talk with girls but this was something different.

He scratched the back of his head upon thinking of such thought when Evelyn asked him. "Well, I was born with superhuman good looks" he looked back at her and grinned. Finally, he has recovered and had managed to get back.

Eve laughed a little when he told her about his looks.Like it wasn't obvious.
"And I thought this was natural beauty....",she said laughing a little more.
"At least it is understandable.You're hotter than any other man I've ever met...",she mumbled looking away.

She didn't want Shuyin to she her blush like that.She was almost sure she looked like a tomato.
"Well..I wasn't born with your looks...but I am an Animagus..",she said and smiled.

Shuyin chuckled as Eve laughed a little at his come back. He couldn't help himself to look away as the conversation grew more. "Animagus?" he asked lightly. Animagus, was the only word he heard. "I go as a black handsome" he lifted his hands and gestured his fingers, quoting on the word "handsome" to give more emphasis to it ."dragon" he finished.

"A beautiful lady like you, I would guess your Animagus state is somewhat regal" he commented as he crossed his arms in front of his chest.

Eve laughed and turned to face Shuyin wih a smile.
She was kind of shocked when she heard that his Animagus was a black 'handsome' dragon.
"Your Animagus is a Dragon?Wow...",she said surprised.

She couldn't believe that they had both Dragons as Animagus.
"My Animagus is a Red Dragon",she said and smirked at Shuyin.

"Ah. Is that so?" Shuyin answered. "Then that must be fate" he added as he looked back to Evelyn and winked.

Eve laughed and shook her head.Could it really be fate?She wouldn't know..
She leaned against the bookcase and looked at Shuyin curious.
"Have you mated yet?",she asked.
She was surprised herself from what she had just asked,though she did want to know for some reason.

A question surprised him. A question he didn't expect to hear. In response, Shuyin leaned closer to Evelyn's. Bringing his face closer to hers. "Why'd you wanna know, Princess?" he whispered as he looked in her eyes.

Eve's breath caught in her throat as Shuyin came closer to her.
His face was a few inches from hers,making her face heat up out of a sudden.
Though she put a smirk on and stared back into his eyes.
"Just being curious...",she mumbled.
"So have you found your mate or not?",she asked trying to hide her nervousness.

Shuyin narrowed his eyes after he heard Eve's latest question. It appeared to him that she might have rephrased her question. Thus, he pulled himself back and reached for Eve's hand. He slowly brought her hand up to the level of his chin with her palm facing downward, bowed slightly and glanced back at Evelyn's eyes. "For I think I may have already found her" he said before he kissed her hand.

Eve saw him pull himself back after she asked her question again.
Did she sound harsh?She bit her lip ready to tell him that she was sorry,when he took her hand and brought it close to his mouth.He bowed a little and looked back into her eyes again,before replying."For I think I may have already found her",and then,he kissed the back of her palm.
"Oh..that is...nice...Might if I ask who she is?",she asked.She was determined to found out who the girl was and have a little talk with her.

Shuyin bursted out in laughter when he heard Eve's response. Did he not make it so obvious that he was in fact, referring to the girl standing before him? Suddenly, the librarian shushed him from wherever she was.

He covered his mouth with his other hand in hope to minimize the noise he was making. Soon he stopped laughing. While his other hand was still holding Eve's hand, he again leaned closer to her, only that this time he went towards near her ear. The hand that was covering his mouth brushed her hair away gently and whispered "Was referring to you"

As Shuyin burst out laughing,Eve looked at him quizzically.Why was he laughing?
Did she say something funny without understanding?
Soon after,the Librarian shushed him from wherever she was,making him clasp a hand over his mouth to keep himself,but that didn't hep either.

After some time of more laughter,Shuyin quited down and looked at her.He was still holding her hand when he leaned in closer to her,towards her ear this time.
"Was referring to you",she whispered into her ear,making her eyes widen.
She clasped a hand over her mouth to keep from yelping loudly at what she had just heard.

She pulled back and looked at him,trying to see if he was serious,or if he was just making fun of her.
She grabbed his arm,and started pulling him through the bookcases,looking around to see if anyone was watching.
She pushed him towards the back of the Library,where no one went.Not even the Librarian.
"What did you just say?",she whispered-yelled to him.

Shuyin smirked when Evelyn pulled herself back away from him. The smile on his face vanished immediately when Evelyn grabbed his arm and did not resisted when he was being pulled somewhere. He just went along as Eve pulled him around.

"What did you just say?" she asked him. He scratched the back of his head, now with a light red blush across his cheeks. "When I first laid my eyes on you.. That day I stepped inside the Great Hall.. Since then.. I couldn't stop thinking about you" he said his voice shaking a little.

After what he said, he now couldn't look at Evelyn. He rested the back of his hand over his lips and looked away, trying to hide the blush on his face. "Heck. I should've asked if you're seeing someone else first. But nah, wouldn't care". If by any chance, Evelyn was seeing someone else then Shuyin just had to win her heart right?

Eve couldn't believe what she was hearing.He...he liked her?Like,more than a friend?
She looked at him and raised an eyebrow.
"Are you sure it's me?Have you completed the bond from your part?",she asked.
There were some steps when a Dragon was mating.
First,when he/she found their mate,the had a feeling.They were always thinking of them and everything that involved them.
Second,each of them made a bond,meaning that they were bound with this person forever.Both mates had to do that.
As for the third step....as much as Eve wanted to not think about it...when they were older,they had to do it if they wanted to finish the bond.
They had to make love to each other.
And these were times when Eve hated to be a Dragon.

He stopped for a while. He tried to search his head if he had, by any chance, completed his ritual. He turned to Evelyn and smiled weakly "I'm afraid not yet?"

Eve let out a breath she didn't know she was holding.She felt quite relieved but sad at the same time too.
"Well..that's good...we still don't know if I really am your mate."
She would repeat the same thing over and over again.Even if they told her it was true,she still wouldn't believe them.
"And there's our age difference...What if I am your mate?What are we going to do?"
So many obstacles..but could they overcome them?

So many questions, barging in his mind all of a sudden. He was really not the type that would care about those. All he knew was that he's feeling something for Evelyn, love? He was also not sure about it. But yes, he likes her, a lot.

"It felt like being the characters in the book" he mumbled to himself.

Eve laughed at Shuyin's words,then smiled slightly.
"Do I really look like princess Juliet?Really?",she asked then snorted.Of course she didn't but the whole situation felt like it was taken from a book.
"What will we do now?What does this mean?"

Shuyin placed his hand on his chest, looking at her eyes, he said "For I am your knight, let me just protect you Princess".
