| Ian stretched his arms high above his head and yawned. He had been to class and found it just what he thought it would be, boring. Though in the process he had made a decent potion, hopefully it would prove helpful. It took a sip of the liquid luck and waited to see where his feet would carry him.
Walking across the grounds he felt like nothing could go wrong, the possibilities were endless, and something great was bound to happen. He turned away from the lake and towards a dark set of trees. Not too far away in the other direction was a much happier group of trees, he wondered why not go that way. But his feet continued to carry him towards the mist veiled forest.
"Alright potion, I'm trusting you." He gave a shrug and hurried onward into the thick Forest of Darkness. |

| In the shade of the tree, a dark, glittering mist formed. It slowly shaped into a human body, until the mist faded to reveal Rhiannon. She had shape-shifted her appearance, making her look like a student: waist-length blonde hair, brown eyes, fair complexion. She had even gotten student robes to make her look like an actual student. In the disguise, she looked about seventeen.
She spotted the boy she had been spying on. Rhiannon had seen him with the potion: Felix Felicis. She knew she wouldn't know how good the boy really was at dueling; he had swallowed Liquid Luck, and with the potion's help he might be better at dueling than he normally is. But Rhiannon was a great duelist, although she wasn't here to hurt the boy, but merely to spy on him - to see if he was a great duelist.
I should continue spying on the boy, and test his skills while he's not helped by Felix, she thought.
Rhiannon walked up to the boy. She frowned and tilted her head to one side. "What are you doing here?" she asked, "This place is dangerous."

| Ian stopped and frowned at the girl standing in front of him, who was she to question him? He rolled his eyes and stepped around her then continued walking, "I could ask you the same question." He replied over his shoulder. Like he cared that the place was dangerous, he could easily defend himself.
The forest was quickly growing darker as he continued walking "Lightatius," he whispered and a ball of light formed from at his wand. He waved his wand and the light moved forward a few feet in front of him. "Are you going to keep following me?" He looked over his shoulder a smirk on his lips. |

| Rhiannon rolled her eyes as she walked away. He has attitude, she thought as she walked towards him. "I'm a seventh year, and I was sent here by the Headmistress of my school to investigate. The Shadows kidnapped another student," she lied.
She casted the Lightatius spell and an orb of light appeared at the tip of her wand. She shrugged at the boy's question. "Yeah. You come from a different school, don't you? Different robes," she said, "I usually don't see students from other schools."

| Ian stopped and turned to face the girl. Now that she had mentioned Shadows he was curious. "Yeah I'm from Magica Academy." He waved his wand and his orb of light returned then soared above their heads.
"So do you need any help looking for this student?" He usually wasn't one to offer help, but for some reason he felt that he should in this case. |

| Rhiannon nodded. "Yeah, your robes look different. My school's not really well-known to outsiders. They only accept children from the village, so no one else is able to go there unless they live there," she lied once more. She waved her wand so that the orb would just follow her.
At the next thing he said, she almost doubled-over, laughing, at how easily he had believed her lie. Instead she stopped herself from laughing and contented herself by smiling. "Sure! So... she has dark brown, long and straight hair, dark gray eyes.. seen anyone like that? She's about this tall," she said, and held her hand down a few inches. She had no trouble lying about that, she simply described a girl from when she was back in school, her nemesis, Roxanne Carter. |

| Ian shook his head after hearing the description of the girl, "Nope I haven't seen anyone that looks like that around here." He frowned for a moment, something seemed out of place about the whole situation, but he couldn't figure out what part of her story didn't fit. "Maybe we should get a few more people to help look?" He turned back towards the entrance of the forest and started the long walk back to Magica Academy. |

| Rhiannon glanced behind her and bit her lip. Damn, that boy is smart. Or maybe that potion is helping him.. she thought. She had also noticed that no one had come to protect the boy from her, not even Leonardo, which made her curious. Maybe no one knew that the boy was in the Forest of Darkness?
She looked at the boy and shook her head. "No, we can't, she's been gone for days. It will take us a lot of time to go fetch someone, and by then sh-she might be d-dead already," Rhiannon said. She forced herself to think of sad memories, and soon there were small tears in the corner of her eyes. |

| Ian halted and gave a frustrated sigh as he turned back towards the girl, "Look there's no use crying. I'll help you find this girl." He hated when people cried, especially females. Not because it made him feel bad, it was just an awkward situation to him. He didn't understand the whole ordeal and that often made him angry.
He waved his wand and the ball of light he summoned earlier slowly began to move through the forest, copying the movement of a lantern being swung about. Something in the pit of his stomach still told him there was something wrong about the situation, but he ignored the feeling. "If she's been gone for so long there's no telling how far into the forest she could be. We better hurry." |

| OOC: -tosses sticks and stones- IC: Ian slowly trailed after the girl, her display of tears and worry had been rather convincing, a little too convincing to be honest. He lowered his wand, and the light on the tip disappeared. Then the ball of light rose into the air and it too cast no more light. This felt strangely like walking into a trap, and he best keep his wits about him especially since he could feel the effects of his potion wearing thin. Narrowing his eyes against the darkness of the forest he stumbled a step. The place had grown quiet, had the girl gotten that far ahead already. "Hey," he paused, had the girl even given him her name. He froze, his grip on his wand tightening. This was definitely a trap, "Who are you really?" |

| Rhiannon raised an eyebrow. Surely the boy knew her? She had countless 'Undesirable' posters all around the world. She smirked at the boy, "You don't recognise me? Who has been to Diagon Alley without checking the posters?" Her lips curled into a sneer as she watched the boy advance. "Rhiannon Brandt. Ring any bells? she asked impatiently after waiting for a few seconds. |

| Ian cross his arms and rolled his eyes at the lady. He didn't have time to go snooping around Diagon Alley like some nitwit half blood, and he most certainly did not walk about worrying over wanted posters like some scared muggle-born. No, he was a pureblood, and he damn well didn't act like those dirty bloods beneath him.
However, he most certainly did know who Rhiannon Brandt was, as much as his parents talked about the shadows at his table. "So you're one of them," he asked with slight interest. "Going to attack me are you?" Ian questioned as he narrowed his eyes. He adjusted his body for a better dueling position then pointed his wand, "Well go on then, give it your best go." |
