| GUIDE TO BEING AN ADULT
Hello there! I suppose you have chosen for your character to be an Adult. There are a few things you need to know before you begin posting a bunch.
First, all adults born before 1996 went to Hogwarts until their sixth year.
As you may know, Magica Academy was built in Hogwarts' ruins because it was destroyed by the Shadows. This plot is slightly different from the actual story, so please know that it isn't exactly like the Harry Potter Series.
Second, all adults need to notify us of their former house.
All adults are required to have attended the Academy at least one year, which means their former house would have been either Incaendefacio, Habitus, Orbis Terrarum, or Liquidum. You need to notify the staff members in your profile under the "History" section of your character's profile.
Third, all adults already have a wand.
Adults don't need to buy a wand, unless for some reason it snapped later on in their roleplaying life. Dragonsbane's Wand Empourium is still closed due to no one owning it, so until then, we cannot issue wands to anyone, even students.
Fourth, most adults have a job/occupation.
Although it is not required, we encourage all adult characters to have an occupation. There are many teaching positions open, and also shops in Diagon Alley, and Bars as well as Restaurants and things that need to be owned. So, we hope that you can do something to help. This also gets your character more known in roleplay faster than if they didn't have a job. To get a job, your character can automatically have it, by putting it in your profile under the "History" section, or they can apply for it in the long list of jobs here.
Fifth, all adults are not allowed to post in the academy.
Only certain adults with certain jobs and occupations or relations may post. This includes the following:
- Ministry of Magic : The Ministry does check-ups on classes every once in a while to make sure everything is running smoothly, or if a tragedy happens, they come to take aid of the situation, like Aurors.
- Professors & Other Faculty : Stating the obvious, Professors and Other Faculty (Like Librarians), are allowed to post in the academy because they work there, and teach and things.
- Relationships : All relations, brother, sister, mother, father, and other relations allow adults to post in the academy.
The only other way you could be able to post there as an adult is if you are asked to by the Headmaster.
