| Luca was in the classroom before the students. The wooden tables filled the room. The class was bigger than he thought it would be. It wasn't cramped like at a normal public school. Luca was behind the front desk, and was waiting for the students to file in as normal. So he thought. He was writing on the chalk board, when the students entered. Some were loud, some were quiet, everyone had their own differences. You could tell the cliques and such within the classroom already. They sat by each other. Of course they could, because there weren't really any assigned seats.
Luca looked out over the students as the socialized, or remained quiet and waited for him to begin speaking. Luca looked down at his attendance list, and this was the first class of the day, so he looked up and began speaking: "Hello," he said. "I'm Professor Evergreen. That is what you are to call me.. Unless I say otherwise. In this class we will be learning about building structures. We will be using wood. Today, we will just get to know each other though." he stated.
"When I call your name say 'here.'." he said. He began to call names as some students may have come in late into the classroom. |

| Jaxon found himself running late to his wood shop class. That didn't make him speed up any though. He wasn't entirely sure why he was taking the class, but it had sounded like a good idea at the time. Now he just wished he could remember why. Ah well. He was in it for the long haul he supposed. So even though he was late, he continued to his class at a leisurely pace, and sauntered in just as the professor called his name. Jaxon assumed he was taking attendance. "Jaxon Pierce, at your service." He stated good naturedly, providing a grin as he chose a table near the middle of the room and dropped his book bag to the ground. |

| Ivy somehow found herself attending Woodshop class, for no reason at all. She had been here early, considering she had a spare before this. The library had been invaded by chattering second years doing an ancient book project or something. The dorm was empty, and she had no wish to stay alone, so here she was. The girl chose a seat right smack in the middle of the class. She liked it there because one wouldn't seem too enthusiastic (like the people in front), or too disinterested (like the people at the back.) Good old middle.
As she heard her name being called, Ivy raised her hand high enough for Professor Evergreen to see before lowering it. More and more students filed in, and one of them caught her eye. They had conversed once in the library, had they not? She watched, in some amusement, as he literally strolled into class without a hint of remorse at being slightly late, before sitting down in the seat in front of her."Hey," Ivy greeted as he sat down, grinning.
"So, I didn't put you down as a wood work kind of guy." |

| Hearing a voice he recognized greet him from behind, Jaxon turned sideways in his seat to see none other than Ivy occupying the desk directly behind him. Seeing as the professor was still taking roll, and another few students trickled in, he didn't think a small side conversation would hurt. "Well what do we have here?" He questioned rhetorically, tone one of good humor. "Well, I have been known to be a jack of all trades." He stated with a cocky grin. "But I am a bit surprised to see you here. After all, you wouldn't want to break a nail now would you?" Jaxon couldn't resist teasing the girl a bit. |

| "But a master of none," Ivy smirked, finishing the saying for him. "I think that describes you perfectly." Ivy shot a quick glance at the Professor, and saw with some relief that he was still taking attendance. She shifted slightly, leaning forward in her seat to plant her elbows on the table. Almost casually, the girl inspected her nails dramatically, playing along. "Oh dear," Ivy gasped, her voice suddenly high and breathy, "that wouldn't really happen, would it?" She shook her head, chuckling a bit. With her voice back to normal, Ivy said, "My nails will be fine," while showing him her fingers. Her nails were cut short till only a small bit of the white part remained in a neat crescent shape. "There's nothing to break anyway." |

| Jaxon gave the girl a faux wounded look, as if he had been hurt by her words, but next moment he was flashing her a slightly surprised yet impressed grin. "Touché." He replied, chuckling a bit. "But I think you'll find I'm good at more than just looking good." He added a bit cockily with a smirk curling his lips. Her theatrics were less than perfect, but Jaxon would give her an E for effort. Laughing outright at her, he nodded in defeat. "I concede. Your nails are definitely in no danger here." |

| "How could I forget?" Ivy rolled her eyes with a smirk, "Your ah.. excellence at potions must not go unacknowledged " Both sarcasm and a playful tone laced her words indicated she was in no way being serious. "Of course they aren't," The girl waved her hand before squinting down at his hands. "I can't seem to say the same for yours though." Carefully, Ivy maintained her serious expression as she looked at him and keeping her laughter in. Would he know she was joking? |

| Jaxon couldn't help but grin proudly, deciding to play along with her and beat her at her own game. He always had to have the last laugh Jaxon did. "Yes, well, it's been very hard to maintain my above and beyond, out of this world standard of excellence in that subject. But alas, nothing worth doing was ever easy." He responded with the mock air of someone who had the weight of the world placed on his shoulders. Next moment though, he looked down at his hands, holding them out at arms length, fingers spread. "What are you on about woman?" He questioned in humorous outrage, inspecting his hands with wide eyes. "I'll have you know these are very manly hands. He told her with a nod of his head. "Very manly indeed." He added on, muttering and then, in true boyish fashion, he pouted. |
