Merri had neglected her studies in History of Magic her first year at the academy, and as a result her grades probably suffered because of it. But was it her fault that the class was extremely boring and predictable to her taste?

Determined to do better this year she had set up study hours for the subject and forced herself to begin today. Setting her books, and the scarce notes she had copied, on the table she opened to the newest section of her text and began the tedious process of reading and copying notes. Every now and then she would underline a heavy section of the notes then cross bits out.

After half an hour of this process her head fell forward, sticking to her page of notes and she fell asleep.

Shuyin was awfully late for this class. Even so he entered the room in hope that their Professor won't notice him as the said Professor was busy with something else on his desk.

Shuyin as fast as he could slipped down on an empty seat behind the girl with a brown hair.

When suddenly. he heard the Professor's voice. "You are late, mister" as the Professor beamed his eyes at Shuyin's. Shuyin stood up and bowed "I'm sorry sir, won't happen again" he said.

"Fine. Be sure to copy the notes down" the Professor replied. "Yeah" Shuyin said as he laid back on his chair. "Gaaahhhh" he released a long sigh.

Merri yawned wondering what all the rackets was going on in her dreams. Suddenly she jerked back into sitting position as she overheard the professor chastised one of the students. "Why are...huh?" Peeling off the parchment that had stuck to her face she yawned once more then rubbed her eyes. Where am I? She turned about in her seat, still feeling disorientated.

Ahhh! I fell asleep in class again! She faced back at the board and read over the new set of notes posted. The Goblin Rebellion? We weren't learning this when I was last taking notes. A look of horror crossed her face as she rushed to catch her notes back up. In the process she knocked over her ink bottle and sent her notes flying through the air, which caused her to receive a reproachful look from the professor. "Sorry!" She shrieked as she hurried to pick up her parchment.

As Shuyin was copying the new notes posted on the board, a flying parchment landed on his desk. He picked it up and looked in front. He saw a girl with the brown hair and bright blue eyes. He held up the parchment and asked "Is this yours?"

"Accio, accio, accio!" Merri furiously whispered as she pointed her wand at each parchment around her. Why does stuff like this always happen to me. She stopped when the boy seated behind her addressed her, "Is this yours?" She smiled and reached out to collect the parchment, "It is, thank you."

Shuyin laughed discreetly as he watched Merri. He helped Merri picked up the rest of the parchment that landed near him. As soon as he was finished "Here you go" he said as he handed the parchment over.

The Professor stood up from his desk and glared at Shuyin. "Eherm" he cleared his throat beaming his eyes on Shuyin. Shuyin saw the Professor's cold eyes and immediately took his quill and went back to copying the notes on his parchment. He looked back at Merri and grinned widely when the Professor was no longer glaring at him.

Merri hurriedly accepted the papers back and whispered a soft, "Thank you," before the professor began his glaring match. She held back a giggled when she realized it was not her who was in trouble but the boy. How lucky can I be. Thank goodness he didn't notice me. She scooped up the remaining parchment and grinned back at Shuyin. "What a drag this class can be, am I right?"

She slid back into her seat and straightened out her notes before hurried scribbling away more of what she viewed as utter nonsense. Urg the unclean. Merri wrinkled her nose at the strange name. Goblins are so odd

"Wow that's one ugly goblin" Misha laughed as she stumbled on the Urg the Unclean page on her book. She imagined the goblin eating her head off and that gave her a chill down her spines.

Having the thought made her cry. "Misha don't wanna be eaten" she said, her voice shaking, but still she continued to copy the notes down.

(OOC: I'm sorry for raining your thread with my charries. As I have mentioned, I really want them to attend proper classes. XD )

Shuyin draw an ugly-looking goblin and made it resembled the Professor in some sort of way. In the drawing, the goblin was shouting at a young boy image that has an arrow pointed to it with the word "Me". He slid the paper to Merri's desk laughing discreetly. He whispered "How he looked like when he's mad" then went back to copying.

Merri covered her mouth to quiet her giggles as she looked over the drawing. It was clever really and his impression of the goblin professor was spot on. She grinned and doodled herself knocking parchment across the room.

Looking up from her sketch she started to hand the paper back to Shuyin, but paused upon spotting Misha. The girl looked upset for some reason. She smiled coming up with an even better idea.

Discreetly slipping her wand from her pocket she bewitched the paper so that the doodles moved, the professor was glaring and pointing, Shuyin was laughing, Merri was waving her arms frantically, and Misha was laughing as well. Satisfied and rather amused with the result she tapped Misha on the shoulder and passed the drawing on to her.

Misha laughed loudly as she saw what Merri has for her. The fear from her face which was caused by her traumatic imagination vanished immediately. The doodles were moving and an ugly looking goblin that somehow resembled the Professor was attacking a young boy-like figure. "What's this?" Misha said out loud as she continued laughing so hard.

She looked at Merri and waved at her wearing a smile from ear to ear. The Professor has stood up from his desk now glaring at Misha. But the young girl couldn't help laughing out loud as the goblin doodle was choking the young boy-like image.

Shuyin saw what Merri did for Misha. He had the chance to take a glimpse of the moving doodles and started laughing. After the Professor glared at the laughing Misha, he then turned his eyes towards Shuyin and to Merri. The Professor's nerve started to pulsate as the three was already disturbing his class. "What's so funny?" the Professor asked and started moving towards Misha. He grabbed the piece of parchment from the young girl and take a look at it. It was badly drawn by Shuyin so the Professor was clueless as what the drawing was about. The Professor flicked his hand and the piece of parchment burned to ashes.

Shuyin stopped laughing. His eyes looked back at the Professor. "Oh-oh" he whispered.

Nico was walking just outside the classroom and heard voices from the inside. He took a peek to see what was happening and found a group of students and a Professor. He decided to attend the class not knowing what it really was about.

He opened the door and looked at the Professor. He just waved his hand in a notion "Hey, I'll be joining you here." without uttering any word.

He looked at the entire room and found a vacant seat at the back near the window. He walked towards the vacant seat. As soon as he sat, he raised his arms as he clenched his fist tightly and yawned. Then he crossed his arms and rested it on his table. After doing so, without any hesitation, he laid his head on top of his arms and slept. He looked really tired at the moment.

Merri grinned, happy that Misha was in a much better mood, but her smile quickly changed into an anxious look. The professor did not look happy. And her belief was quickly confirmed as he set fire to their parchment, destroying the silly sketch. She picked up her quill to pretend like she was writing when the professor caught her eye and she had no other choice but to confess. As she opened her mouth to apologize another student entered the room.

As he pretty much ignored the scene going on in the room, Merri looked back and forth between this new comer and the professor. If he wasn't angry before, he most certainly was now. She giggled and poked her wand under the desk towards Nicolai, "Rictusempra," she whispered, casting the tickling charm on the sleeping student. This will be a great distraction!

The Professor scared Misha. She didn't bother looking at him anymore. She was scared of his angry face. Misha stopped laughing and zoned her head towards her book.

She was flipping the pages of her book and started copying the notes. Suddenly, she saw a student entered the room. She was amused as she saw how fast the boy slept in the class.

As the Professor walks towards Shuyin, as he felt it was his end, suddenly another late comer barged in their "happy" class.

Shuyin looked at the boy from the door to his seat, then slept. The Professor now walked towards the new student, completely forgetting Shuyin and the others. Shuyin released a discreet whistle "That was close" he said to himself and grinned.

Nico fell into a deep slumber as soon as he rested his head at his arms. After a few minutes, he felt ticklish all over his body. He was so startled that when he raised his head, he outbalanced himself from his seat falling on his back.

He didn't like it when his sleep is interrupted. "Owww.. That hurts! Who did that?!" he shouted as he rubbed his head and tries to get up from the floor.

As soon as he got back his composure and looked up ahead, he saw the their Professor standing right in front of him with his arms crossed and both eyebrows raised.

Merri covered her face with the class text book and tried her best to keep quiet. But it was nearly impossible. She sunk down further in her chair so that attention could not swing back to her. "Don't notice me. I didn't do it."

The professor sounded furious as he began to berate the new student. She almost felt sorry for him, but it was kind of his fault for arriving so late. Feeling curious she slowly peeked up from the text book and watched as the scene began to unfold.

Misha was curious as to how the Professor's going to deal with the new kid.

She tried to peek but can't see any since the other students are blocking her view. She started scribbling a note on a small piece of parchment and threw it on Merri's desk.

The note says "What's happening?" was poorly written on the piece of parchment.

Shuyin's eyes continued to watch the new student and the furious Professor. "Oho~ Interesting" he softly whispered placing a hand under his chin.

Right, with what Shuyin, Merri and Misha did, making the Professor angry, and with the new student barging in the class just to sleep, "What are you going to do?" was all in Shuyin's mind while beaming his eyes on the half asleep student.

Merri held up the piece of parchment and blinked a few times to try and decipher the message scribbled on it. What's happening? Why would she asked. Oh about the boy! "He's about to get it! The professor looks furious. Maybe we should slip out before we get into trouble too?" She slipped the paper back to Misha then elbowed Shuyin and whispered, "Should we ditch the poor guy or stick around?"

When he saw the Professor getting furious at him, he raised his hand and gave a big smile showing his pearly white teeth.

"What's up?!" he said.

He looked around seeing all eyes are on him. He was still trying to figure out who cast a spell on him a while ago. He momentarily ignored the Professor when suddenly, he felt a strong hit at the back of his head. "Ouch! This class is pretty violent!" he commented.

Shuyin was waiting for something interesting to happen as he felt Merri elbowing him.

"Shhhhh" he slid a finger in front of his lips then grinned. "This should be fun" he whispered to Merri. Then he saw the Professor hit Nicolai. Shuyin covered his mouth and chuckled trying to not to create any noise.

Merri gave a nod and grew very quiet as she watch the professor and the boy go at it. She winced a little when the professor hit the kid on the back of the head. Surely he didn't deserve all of that? But she did have to admit it was kind of funny to watch.

Frowning, she shook her head and set to packing up her text and notes, maybe it's best to just leave. Class was almost over anyways and she was tired. Slipping out from the desk she began to quietly inch towards the door.

Misha throwed a note to Shuyin when she noticed him laughing at Nico's punishment. The note says "Why are you laughing. That's not funny."

Then she noticed Merri slipping out on her desk "Wait, where are you going Merri?"
