Nobuyuki walked into the Great Hall dressed in the clothes that his sisters had picked out for him. That's right, his sisters--Avalon, Forestyne, and Evangeline. They pressured him into choosing an outfit for the Ball and he gave in. Normally he wouldn't care, wouldn't even do it, but at the behest of his siblings he just did. Not that he felt comfortable with it, mind you. As his black eyes scanned the crowd of the hall, he couldn't help but feel a little....lacking.

Ah, that's right, he thought, and took out his wand. "Conujrous, radio!" A mid-sized radio appeared in front of him, and he turned it on. The first song that came to mind was a foreign one that he'd heard before, and thought would be good for the Ball.

Nathan was standing by Nobuyuki, and started dancing to the music. He was having a great time. He wants to make his 7th Year the best for him. He wants to have fun, find love, and live happy.

Avalon arrived in her dress and jewelry, and the first thing that got to her was the sound of a male singer's voice humming throughout the hall to the soft lull of guitar notes. As he began to sing, she walked around until she found Nobuyuki.

"Nobuyuki!" she squealed, and ran over to him. "I see you've got some music there. It's a pretty cool song, too." Then she noticed the seventh year dancing to the song, and feeling the need to dance, went over to him.

"Mind if I dance with you?" she asked.

Lili was eating a cookie (she seemed to be doing that a lot lately).

She didn't mind.

Cookies were yummy.

Although she was getting crumbs all over her pretty dress.

She heard music start to play.

It sounded nice, but Lili couldn't dance to it.

She sat down in a random chair, swinging her legs and munching her cookie, observing the other people ther.

Evangeline came in as well, and when she saw her siblings she was pleased to see that they had already gotten involved in the Ball. Nobuyuki had the sense to use his magic to put up some music, and Avalon was asking a senior student if she could join in his dance. She giggled delightedly to herself and walked over to Nobuyuki as the song finished.

"I have another song for you," she stated when she came up to her big brother. She took her wand and tapped the radio, and the song in question started playing. She knew a bit of the singer who's song her brother was playing, so she put up another one of his.

"Why aren't you dancing?" she asked him suddenly. "Avalon seems like she's getting into it." Her black eyes drifted from him momentarily to scan for an appropriate dancing partner for him, and they instantly met Liliana Sawyer, the Habitus Third Year, although she had not even known her name yet. "That girl looks lonely," she said to him. "You should ask her to dance!"

"Oh, Evangeline," Nobuyuki greeted when she came over to him. "Another song? That's great, I was a little stumped about what to put up next anyway." He watched as she used magic on the radio and heard the same singer, but different song. "This is pretty good, I guess," Nobuyuki shrugged. He listened to it for a while and found himself tapping his feet to the song's beat.

Then his sister hit him with a totally unexpected suggestion. "What?" he asked, still disbelieving. "Dance? Me? No, I couldn't. And Avalon, well, you know her, she just can't sit still for long. That doesn't mean that I have to..." But her eyes began to wander, and Nobuyuki realized that it was hopeless to talk with her when she wasn't paying attention to him.

And when Evangeline pointed out the lone Habitus Third Year, Nobuyuki scrutinized her and didn't think she looked so 'lonely'. In fact, she was enjoying a cookie while sitting in a chair and, note, swinging her legs. That did not look like the movements of a lonely person to Nobuyuki. And how could he ask her to dance? Not only was she a year above him, she was baby-faced as well; it would almost feel like asking out one of his own sisters (though none of them were baby-faced).

"Why don't you find someone to dance with?" Nobuyuki countered, but not meanly. Sarcastically, more like.

Rinoa walks in now dressed in a gown which was provided by her parents for the Midnight Ball.

"Everyone's dressed up and have partners" she muttered.

She then walked and find a good place to sit. "I'll just be here. Watching everyone . Hope I'll last the whole night" she said to herself.

Evangeline pouted, not very happy that Nobuyuki had turned down her suggestion. Then she spotted a fourth year, Habitus also, and seeing that she was pretty and possibly more his type (though she didn't know Nobuyuki's type), she pushed her brother in the girl's direction. "She's incredibly beautiful!" Evangeline commented. "Ask her out, ask her out!!"

"Whoa, whoa! Hey wait--" But too late, Evangeline had gotten the better of him and was actually able to push her taller older brother in the fourth year's path. He nearly bumped into her but stopped himself in time, only inches away from her. "Um..." He felt so awkward. He had begun to blush, but tried not to let his discomfort show. "I'm sorry, I kind of got pushed by my little sister back there. Did I scare you?"

Turning behind him, he could see that Evangeline was looking on at him with expectant eyes and a wide smile. What is with her tonight? he wondered with an inner grumble. And now, turning back to the fourth year, he mumbled a little nervously, "Would...would you like...to dance?"

Since he just had a duel with Rinoa, he figured to stop by at the dorm and changed to a formal suit before going to the ball.

Geeno walks in hoping to find new friends. "So this is what a ball looks like. Kinda fancy."

As he walks farther into the room, he suddenly sees a cute lady smiling. He finds her cute and quite attractive. He walks towards the lady and greeted her with a dashing grin.

"Hi! Do you have someone with you?" (referring to my cutie Jasmine Urquhart) talking to the lady in soft low voice.

Rinoa saw a male student approaching her out of nowhere.

"Oh, no, not at all. I was just deeply drawn into the music" she said to Nobuyuki.

"A dance? Sure. But are you a good dancer? Please guide me" Rinoa stood up and smiled at him.

"By the way, my name's Rinoa. A pleasure to meet you Nobuyuki" she added.

"I've been taught to dance," Nobuyuki explained. "I won't be stepping on your feet, if that's what you're worrying about." That last one was his attempt at humor, but he wondered if the fourth year even saw it that way. Not with how his face was burning red and his hands shaking at his sides and his heart beating against his chest. He'd never asked a girl to dance before, so the experience was new for him; little ol' serious him. "Rinoa? That's a nice name..." Those were the words he said before he began to take her waist and hold her hand in a slow-dancing position.

"Teehee, I am not worrying about that. Rather, sorry in advance if I do step on yours" Rinoa laughed replying to Nobuyuki.

Rinoa noticed Nobuyuki's shaky hands and red face. The music was really calming and she danced with Nobuyuki following the slow-paced tune.

She asked "Are you nervous? Or am I scary that you're hands are shaking while holding mine?"

Avalon could see how the party was going now. She smiled to herself as she noticed Nobuyuki beginning a dance with a girl, and joined Evangeline by the radio. "Nobuyuki's so gallant tonight, isn't he?" she commented. "Here, I've got another song for you," she added when she noticed that the previous song had ended. It was a slow-dance one, much like what Nobuyuki was attempting with Rinoa, but by a different singer. Avalon felt that changing the singer might spice up the atmosphere a bit. So with that, she used her hand magic to tap the radio with her song in mind.

"Oh. That's great. So? Is it okay if I keep you company for the whole night?" Geeno replied.

Geeno held the lady's hand softly and kissed the back part and says "I am Geeno. I hope that you will have a good time with me for tonight." then he send a smile at the lady.

Seeing the lady in a beautiful dress keeps him at awe. After gaining some courage again, Geeno asks the lady, "May I know your name, please?"

Nobuyuki attempted a confident smile as he answered her. "Don't worry, you're not scary. In fact, you're pretty. It's just that this is my first time dancing with a girl." When he saw Avalon over at the radio, he knew that could only spell trouble, and it did somewhat when she changed the song to something totally romantic. He suppressed another blush and steadied his hands as he guided Rinoa. "My sisters are messing with me as well," he added, because if it weren't for them he wouldn't be embarrassing himself in front of someone like this.

"Hehe don't worry too much. I think you are doing great here. Would you like to hear one of my favorite song?" she added. Then she flicked her hand and the radio changed the song. It was like a dedication for the young man.

"Thank you," Nobuyuki said. "I'll try not to. And yes, I'd like to hear your song." It would obviously be better than what his sisters were giving him. When he heard it, he noticed that it was in Japanese and that he could understand what he heard. He smiled and said, "It's a very good song. It's in my language, did you know that? It's been quite a while since I heard anything Japanese..." Yes, ever since he'd reached the Academy, he hadn't been able to hear any of his native language as often as he'd like. He and his siblings didn't talk to each other in Japanese like they did at home so that they could practice their English, and he didn't exactly go out of his way to find any Japanese music. That Rinoa was able to moved him deeply.

“This is the only time I've seen you smile ever since we've met. I’m glad” she looked at Nobuyuki’s eyes and smiled warmly.

Liliana giggled as she watched the couples dance.

It was quite entertaining, but she had ran out of cookie and was getting slightly bored.

Slow dancing was not really her type of thing.

But she was at a ball....

Lili crawled under a table giggling like a maniac.

Her pretty white dress was getting even more dirty! .... Oh well.

Forest stepped into the Great Hall, sure that she looked dazzling in her green dress and accessories, and the pretty hairstyle that she got some girls to help her with. She even put on some make-up, although it consisted of some blush and natural-colored lipstick. Yeah, she was tough and adventurous, but she could be a beautiful, feminine girl when the time came for her to. And when she did, she always did her best to look elegant and in-style.

Scanning the area, she saw many people fancily dressed in tuxes and gowns, but her siblings caught her eye more, especially her brother. Both her sisters looked very pretty, although Avalon looked more striking with her dark-red theme. And Nobuyuki...wow, when did he ever court women? He was always reserved and quiet around everyone, even the most beautiful girl passing by. But now he was slow-dancing with some young woman that she didn't know. His expression was hard to read, but he didn't seem to not enjoy it. So the dead can do things, she said wryly in her mind before moving toward Avalon, who was standing idly by the radio with Evangeline. She was tempted to walk up to her brother and punch him on the arm and inquire about what he was doing, but that wouldn't have been a good idea when he was dancing.

"Hey guys. I see that Nobuyuki has been poisoned in some way," she said as she approached them. She grinned, then said before slightly spinning around to show off her appearance, "So, how do I look? Not too shabby, huh? Probably like some Orbis Terrarum." Incaendefacio's color was obviously supposed to be red, since it resembled the element of fire, but green was her favorite color. She couldn't help but make it her theme. But wasn't that expected from someone who had the word "forest" in their name?

Stopping, she heard someone giggling and looked down at it's direction, then saw some strange girl (Lilliana) crawling under a table. Um...weird. This was not the time to play doggy while a prestigious ball was going on. Not to mention that her gown was as white as the holy lights and it was getting smudged and stained by the dust one the ground. Perhaps Forest should leave this girl to her own business, since she didn't really seem right in the mind and it would be pointless asking her what she was doing. The girl would just respond in some goofy way. But Forest couldn't help but say, "Uh...you really do know that this isn't pre-school?" Yeah, kinda mean, but that was how she was: blunt.

Lili looked up, hearing the girl's remark.

Oh how Liliana missed preschool.

She nodded to Forestyne.

Lili didn't know the girl but she did look fimilar.

She squinted hard trying to figure out who Forestyne was.

"Ah! You're one of the Caradas!" She said as it finally clicked in her mind.

With the attention span of a 5 year old, she suddenly got distracted by something shiny in the distance and crawled over.

Jeremy entered the great hall a bit late, dressed nicely for once.

He looked around, as if trying to find someone.

He had come alone, of course.

He didn't really know any of his classmatesr, and this would be a great opportunity to meet them.

Jeremy decided to go in the middle of the dance floor and begin to do the most dorkiest moves ever.

Not caring if it was a slow song, he wouldn't stay on beat anyway.
